The City of Clayton has adopted the following codes:
Included are all appendices to each code. The 2008 National Electric Code has also been adopted as part of the St. Louis County amendments. | Land disturbance activities, including demolition and new construction, require approval of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) if the area of disturbance is 5,000 square feet or greater. A project with a disturbed area less than 5,000 square feet should still provide erosion control measures to prevent storm water pollution. The SWPPP must be submitted and approved by the Public Works Department prior to release of a building or demolition permit. Applicants are required to pay a $300.00 review fee at the time of application. |

| Residential Occupancy Permit Application Residential Occupancy Permits are required for all multi-family units, condominium rental units and duplex rental units (where the owner does not reside in the duplex building). Occupancy Permits are not required for the lease, rental or purchase/sale of single-family homes.
