Budget Forums

Clayton’s staff and elected officials are dedicated to their fiscal responsibility to the community. Annually, the city conducts public meetings to ensure that citizens understand and have input into how their tax dollars are spent. Public budget forums were held on July 17 and 18, 2012.  The video below is from the July 17 budget forum.

In addition to the budget forums, citizens had opportunities to further review the 2013 draft budget when the Board of Aldermen conducted Public Hearings on August 28 and September 11, 2012. The public hearing on the 2012 tax rates and the FY 2013 budget along with the first reading of the ordinances took place on August 28; and the second reading and approval of the tax rates and budget took place on September 11.
