Clayton Revenue Sources

Each year the City receives new revenue from taxes and fees and uses that money, along with unspent money carried over from the prior year, to pay for the expenses of operations.

The links provided under Categories of Revenue look at several sources of FY 2015 revenue expected to be received by the City, and where that revenue is used.

In order to simplify a complex series of revenue streams and accounting requirements, we sorted and combined information in an attempt to present it in a way that can be easily understood.

This simplification is not exact, but it can give you a view of major revenue sources and which fund or operation they benefit.  The annual budget document provides highly detailed information on revenue and expenditures for all funds/operations.
