INVITATION FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the Public Works Garage Re-roofing project will be received by the City of Clayton Finance Department, 10 N. Bemiston Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105-3397, until 2:00 P.M. CST, on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:05 PM CST in Conference Room A/B, 1st floor, City Hall, 10 N. Bemiston Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105-3397.
The Scope of Work consists of the removal of the existing granular surfaced and asphaltic smooth surfaced roofing systems and the installation of a new single membrane roofing system and associated as depicted in the project specifications and drawings for the Municipal Garage Building. The building is located at 8300 Shaw Park Drive in Clayton, MO.
Bid packages will be available Monday, January 30, 2012 from the Clayton City Hall Front Counter, 10 N. Bemiston Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105-3397 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $15 per set.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in Conference Room B, 1st floor, Clayton City Hall, 10 N. Bemiston Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105-3397. Attendance is mandatory to bid on this project.
Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.
A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
