Public Works

The City of Clayton and the Public Works Department are saddened by the sudden death of Jim "JD" Heard, who suffered a heart attack on October 25th.  JD was with the City of Clayton for 35 years, starting out as a seasonal laborer, and later becoming Construction Inspector.  JD was well-known both around Clayton and in the construction community as "the guy with the ponytail" who ensured all work was performed up to Clayton standards.  He was also full of random facts, puns, and movie and music trivia.  He will be missed greatly.
