Public Works

Public Works Organization
The Department of Public Works is divided into four divisions.
The Engineering Division is responsible for the overall administration and coordination of departmental activities and is responsible for the implementation of all design, construction, permitting and service contracts. This division also administers the refuse/recycling collection contract.
The Operations Division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all public streets, alleys, sidewalks, parking facilities, street lights, traffic control, forestry, public landscaping, snow/ice removal and the leaf collection program.
The Building Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance of City buildings; which include City Hall, the Police Department building and the Public Works facility.
The Equipment Services Division (Central Garage) is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all City-owned vehicles and equipment.
