Sidewalk Improvements
Project Summary
This capital improvement program addresses sidewalk that are uneven or are deteriorated throughout the City of Clayton each year as funding allows. The Public Works Department surveys the entire city annually and prioritizes repairs on a "worst first" basis determined by condition and location of the sidewalk. The old sidewalk sections that are removed are taken to a concrete recycling facility.Project Schedule
The Bid Opening took place March 19, 2012, and SBC Contracting was the successful bidder. A contract was approved by the Board of Aldermen at their April 10th meeting, and work will take place in spring/summer.
