All That Glitters

City of Clayton’s holiday celebration on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007

All That Glitters is sponsored by The Crescent and hosted by the City of Clayton, the Clayton Chamber of Commerce and Clayton business owners. Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 and will include carolers, chestnuts roasting on an open fire at The Fountain on Carondelet Plaza, horse drawn carriage rides through downtown Clayton and along Carondelet Plaza, free ice skating at the Shaw Park Ice Rink, and the finale — a fireworks display at 8 p.m. in Shaw Park. In addition to All That Glitters, the City will host horse drawn carriage rides through downtown Clayton every Thursday in December from 6 to 8 p.m. The rides will depart from Maryland and Center, and will whisk holiday shoppers and diners along gaily decorated downtown Clayton streets alive with holiday lights and festive holiday
window decorations. Clayton restaurateurs, hoteliers and retailers look forward to greeting merrymakers with a warm holiday welcome. For more information about carriage rides, call: 314-290-8508.
