Budget Workshop

The City presents opportunity for public engagement

Clayton’s Board of Aldermen has announced that it will conduct a public hearing to review the FY 2010 Operating and Capital Improvements Budget on Tuesday, September 8. At this meeting, the Board will request input from the public. The public discourse will be followed by the first reading of the proposed budget ordinance. On Tuesday, September, 22, the Board will hear the second reading of the proposed budget ordinance.

To fulfill its commitment to engaging Clayton citizens and obtaining community feedback, the City will also hold a forum to discuss the City’s budget priorities. The forum is set for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, in Council Chambers at Clayton City Hall and is open to the public. It will provide an informal setting for citizens to see a
preview of the budget with City staff. Department Directors will be on hand to present highlights and answer questions about operations and receive requests and suggestions related to service needs.
