Earth Day Celebration

Join family and friends in a celebration of our planet earth. The cities of Clayton, Maplewood and Richmond Heights will host an Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 18, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in Shaw Park. A host of fun activities are planned for the day.
Kick back, relax and enjoy acoustical music by Lucky Dan (Randant) & Naked Mike (Newman), between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Activities for the kids will include a storyteller, crafts and tons of fun. Register for attendance prizes and lots of other giveaway items from vendors.
Learn how local municipalities are reducing waste with its recycle program, reserving natural resources and working with other cities across the nation to help preserve our earth for future generations. A healthy selection of food items will be available for purchase.
Event sponsors include the City of Clayton, Maplewood and Richmond Heights. Contributing organizations and business include Ameren UE-Pure Power, Trailnet, Jost Greenhouses, Leftovers, Etc., and Helmet Safety Check with St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Pulaski Bank and Really Big Coloring Books.
To help kick off this fun event, host cities are sponsoring an Earth Day Poster Contest! Kids, ages 4-12, are eligible to compete. Guidelines for the contest and entry forms are available from your local school, The Center of Clayton, and The Heights. All entries must be received by Wednesday, April 15 to qualify for judging.
