Public Works Director Resigns

The City of Clayton announces the resignation of its Public Works Director Paul Wojciechowski, effective
November 3, 2008. He has accepted a position with CH2MHill, a consulting firm in St. Louis.

Before being appointed the city’s Public Works Director in January 2005, Mr. Wojciechowski worked for twenty years as a transportation professional in a number of capacities, including a highway designer, district traffic engineer and director of planning for the Missouri Department of Transportation.

“I cherish my time in the city,” said Mr. Wojciechowski, “and enjoyed the opportunity to serve the Clayton community.”

During his tenure with the city, his department made significant enhancements to pedestrian and bicycling accommodations and ADA accessibility throughout the city. He also led many of the city’s “green” initiatives such as purchase of hybrid vehicles for the city’s fleet. “Paul made significant contributions to the community’s quality of life, and he will be missed,” said City Manager Craig Owens.

John Wulf, Assistant Public Works Director, will serve as the Acting Public Works Director pending a new hire.
