Center of Clayton
The Center of Clayton offers the ultimate experience in sports, fitness, swimming, recreational, educational and lifestyle enhancing programs. The Center's 136,000 square feet includes four gymnasiums, two pools, a suspended jogging track, weight lifting, aerobic/dance areas, a 30-foot climbing wall, classrooms, lounge, Subway and meeting rooms. Youth Basketball Registration
Clayton Parks and Recreation is currently accepting team and individual registrations for grades 1-8 in the 2016-2017 Youth Basketball League. League practices will begin in mid-November with games starting in January. Registration forms are due by Friday, October 21 and can be found online at www.claytonmo.gov/youthsports.
Take a crash course to learn how to play the guitar at The Center on Tuesday, October 18 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. In just a few hours you can learn enough for lifetime enjoyment. Pre-registration and acoustic guitar required. Learn more.
Children can learn the basics of climbing this fall with one of our climbing classes. Kids' Climb is perfect for kids to try out the wall for the first time in an encouraging environment. Rock Climbing 101 adds in terminology, and proper climbing technique. Learn more.
Prescription Drug Take Back
On Saturday, October 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., The Clayton Police Department, in cooperation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, will be conducting a National Prescription Drug Take Back event at the parking lot of The Center of Clayton. During this event, Police Officers and DEA Agents will be accepting expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications for disposal. The substances will be accepted with no questions asked and will be destroyed under the direction of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
St. Louis Half Marathon & Clayton PD 5K
The annual St. Louis Half Marathon, Clayton Police 5K & Youth Run benefiting Special Olympics of Missouri will be held Sunday, November 6 beginning at 7:30 am at The Center of Clayton. Registration for the event is available online at www.stlouistrackclub.com.
The Center of Clayton will open late at 9:00 am on Sunday, November 6 due to the run, and the parking lot expected to be busy until after noon.
