Center of Clayton
The Center of Clayton offers the ultimate experience in sports, fitness, swimming, recreational, educational and lifestyle enhancing programs. The Center's 136,000 square feet includes four gymnasiums, two pools, a suspended jogging track, weight lifting, aerobic/dance areas, a 30-foot climbing wall, classrooms, lounge, Subway and meeting rooms. Summer Memberships to The Center of Clayton are on sale now and are valid May 11 through August 31. They are perfect for students out of school and those looking for an escape from the hot and humid St. Louis summer. For more information, visit www.centerofclayton.com/summer.
Season Passes to Shaw Park Aquatic Center and Shaw Park Tennis Center are also currently available at the Welcome Desk. Lines get longer as Memorial Day weekend draws near, so get your pass soon!
Memorial Day & Summer Hours
In observance of Memorial Day, The Center of Clayton will be open from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm on Monday, May 30. No classes or nursery service will be offered that day.
Memorial Day weekend also marks the beginning of our summer hours. Saturday, May 28 through Sunday, August 14, The Center will have the following hours:
Monday - Friday 5:15 am - 9:00pm
Saturday - Sunday 7:00 am - 6:00pm
Summer will be here before you know it. Our summer camps begin the day after Memorial Day – May 31, and that is only 4 weeks away! We have a wide variety of choices including SCUBA, Mad Science, Fencing, Basketball and Tennis. Explore your child’s options at www.claytonmo.gov/camps.
Those who are looking for a traditional day camp should also check out the School District of Clayton’s SummerQuest program. They feature a robust list of enrichment opportunities between June 6 and July 15. Find out more at www.summerquest.org.
Coming Soon - Clayton Heritage Center
Starting early this month the space near the front entrance will be transformed into the Clayton Heritage Center, a space for Clayton history and historical research. Sponsored by the Clayton Century Foundation, the room will feature displays of local artifacts and research tools for students and adults alike. Check for more details in the June CenterLine.
