Arbor Day Celebration

Publish Date:04/23/2018 10:50 AM

On Friday, April 20th, members of the Public Works Forestry Division spoke with students from Glenridge Elementary and St. Michael School of Clayton about Arbor Day and the important role trees play in our community.  The Department of Conservation Community Forester, Daniel Moncheski, also took part in the events.  As part of the event students participated in the planting of Missouri native black gum trees near each school.

Clayton has been recognized as a Tree City USA Community by the Arbor Day Foundation for 26 consecutive years.
