Police Weekly Incident Report: May 28 - June 3
On Monday, May 28, at 10:49 am, the victim reported that he left his backpack unattended in the locker room at the Center of Clayton. When he returned to the backpack, he found that an unknown person had damaged the laptop computer inside.
On Tuesday at 11:48 am, officers arrested two suspects attempting to pass a forged check at the Commerce Bank on 8000 Forsyth.
On Wednesday, a vehicle was reported stolen from the parking garage at 7734 Forsyth. The suspect was arrested on Friday, see below.
On Friday at 12:00 pm, a vehicle was reported stolen from the parking garage at 7750 Carondelet. The theft occurred the night before. The suspect was arrested on Friday; refer to the next incident.
On Friday at 12:50 pm, officers arrested a suspect attempting to enter vehicles in a parking garage at 130 S. Bemiston. During the subsequent investigation, detectives determined that the suspect was responsible for the stolen vehicles from 7734 Forsyth and 7750 Carondelet earlier this week. He was also involved in the stealing of a vehicle and thefts from vehicles at the 8011 Bonhomme parking garage in April.
On Saturday at 1:20 am, a driver was arrested for DWI in the area of Clayton Rd. and S. Hanley.
On Sunday at 4:47 pm, a suspect was arrested for stealing numerous bars of soap from Walgreens.
During this reporting period, the Clayton PD responded to 447 calls for service, including 18 automobile accidents and 19 calls to assist the Fire Department.
