Police Weekly Incident Report: June 4 - June 10
On Monday, June 4, at 9:29 am, a report was taken for 4 unlocked vehicles entered in the Moorlands neighborhood. Items were taken from two of the vehicles.
On Monday at 7:44 pm, four subjects dined and dashed from IHOP. The four subjects were apprehended by responding officers and charged with stealing.
On Monday at 8 pm, a report was made for two tires slashed on a vehicle on the 8300 block of Maryland.
On Tuesday between 12:00 am and 1: 00 am, numerous thefts from vehicles occurred in several parking garages in the Central Business District. Some vehicles were unlocked and other vehicles had windows broken out. During the investigation, the suspects were identified as individuals we’ve have previously investigated for car break-ins and automobile theft. Clayton detectives have charged two of the individuals so far in this latest incident and have recovered the stolen property.
On Wednesday, between 5:30 am and 10:45 pm, tools were stolen from a pickup truck after it’s window was shattered inside the 232 S. Meramec parking garage.
On Thursday at 9:54 am, a juvenile was arrested for a dine and dash at IHOP.
On Thursday at 12:51 am, a traffic stop at Halifax and Sudbury resulted in the driver being charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Friday at 8:23 am, Clayton officers assisted the Brentwood PD with searching for 3 robbery suspects near Strassner and S. Hanley.
On Friday at 1 pm, officers extinguished a vehicle fire at the Forest Park Parkway and S. Bemiston.
On Friday at 9:40 pm, a traffic stop at S. Central and Carondelet resulted in a DWI arrest.
On Saturday at 2:50 am, a single-vehicle accident investigation resulted in a DWI arrest of the driver at the Forest Park Parkway and I-170.
On Saturday at 12:20 pm, while conducting a walk-through of CVS, an officer observed a suspect attempting to leave without paying for merchandise. The suspect was arrested. On Saturday at 6:00 pm, Straub’s reported that a male suspect just shoplifted several bottles of alcohol. The suspect was located at the Metrolink stop and arrested with the stolen liquor.
On Sunday at 1:41 am, officers broke up a peace disturbance caused by intoxicated subjects on the 7700 block of Forsyth. On Sunday at 6:20 am, a business burglary was reported on the 8100 block of Maryland. The suspect unlawfully entered the business overnight and took property.
On Sunday at 1:51 pm, a bike was stolen from a garage on the 6400 block of Alamo. On Sunday at 5:32 pm, Clayton officers assisted Richmond Heights with a disturbance at the Galleria.
During this reporting period, the Clayton PD responded to 553 calls for service, including 16 traffic accidents and 34 calls to assist the Fire Department.
