Police Weekly Incident Report: July 2 - 8
On Monday, July 2 at 2:10 pm, a delayed assault report was taken. The female victim was assaulted by another female the day before on the 100 block of N. Meramec. The suspect was located and arrested.
On Tuesday, reports were taken for several unlocked vehicles that were entered during the overnight hours. Only a few items were reported stolen from the vehicles. The vehicles were parked on 6300 Alamo, and 6600 and 6700 San Bonita,
On Tuesday at 12:00 pm, a female suspect was arrested for shoplifting food from CVS.
On Wednesday morning, a business on the 8100 block of Maryland was found burglarized. The burglary occurred during the overnight hours.
On Thursday between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm, a vehicle was shattered on the south parking lot of Shaw Park. A bag containing clothing was taken from the vehicle.
On Thursday at 7:30 pm, a bicycle was reported stolen from a car port on the 6600 block of San Bonita. The bike was secured with a cable lock, but the cable was cut. The theft occurred during the week prior to discovery.
On Saturday at 8:30 pm, a traffic stop at S. Brentwood and Clayton Rd. resulted in the driver being issued a summons for possession of marijuana.
On Sunday at 1:09 am, a traffic stop near Clayton Rd. and S. Central Ave resulted in a passenger being issued a summons for possession of marijuana. A second passenger was arrested on a fugitive charge for felony assault.
On Sunday morning, a garage was discovered burglarized on the 8300 block of Kingsbury. The burglary occurred sometime in the overnight hours. The suspect was able to steal the victim’s car from the garage. Two unlocked vehicles parked on the street in the vicinity were also entered. Change was missing from one of those vehicles. The stolen vehicle was recovered Sunday night in St. Louis City.
On Sunday at 3:48 pm, a female suspect set off the door alarm at CVS by shoplifting hair products. She was located by officers on Whitburn and arrested.
On this Monday morning at 1:42 am, an officer was investigating an abandoned bicycle near Big Bend and Forest Ridge and found its rider nearby. The subject had a warrant for his arrest and was in possession of a stolen debit card. He was arrested on the fugitive charge and for possession of stolen property.
During this reporting period, the Clayton PD responded to 582 calls for service, including 17 automobile accidents and 25 calls to assist the Fire Department.
