Police Weekly Incident Report: December 10 - 16
On Monday at approximately 12:30 pm, a male suspect shoplifted an article of clothing from the Fur and Leather Center at 7901 Clayton Rd.
On Tuesday at approximately 1:00 pm, a credit card was stolen from an unattended backpack on Fontbonne’s campus. The credit card was used shortly after the theft for a small transaction at a gas station.
On Friday at approximately 1:30 am, Clayton officers responded to the area of the Forest Park Parkway and Pershing to assist the University City Police Department with searching for three juveniles who were stealing from vehicles. A Clayton officer located and detained the suspects as they entered the Metrolink station at Big Bend and the Forest Park Parkway. Stolen property from victims in University City was recovered from the juveniles. The University City PD took custody of the juveniles.
On Friday at 9:00 pm, officers responded to the Forest Park Parkway for an automobile accident involving two cars. One of the drivers was subsequently arrested for DWI. Her blood alcohol by content was over twice the legal limit.
On Saturday, an item was taken from a mailbox on the 8100 block of Stratford.
On Sunday morning, a resident on the 100 block of N. Bemiston reported that two vehicles parked in a detached garage were rummaged through during the overnight hours. The walk-in door to the garage was unlocked. Nothing was taken from the vehicles.
During this reporting period, the Clayton PD responded to 393 calls for service, including 24 automobile accidents and 38 calls to assist the Fire Department.
