Police Weekly Incident Report: December 17 - 23
For the reporting period of Monday, December 17th - Sunday, December 23rd, officers responded to 457 calls for service, including 23 automobile accidents and 20 calls to assist the Fire Department. Among those calls were the following incidents:
Tuesday afternoon, a traffic stop in the area of DeMun and Alamo resulted in the arrest of a passenger for possession of drug paraphernalia.
At approximately 5:30 that evening, officers conducted a vehicle accident investigation in the area of Big Bend and Southmoor, resulting in one of the drivers being arrested for DUI.
Wednesday afternoon, a passerby observed a drug violation in the parking lot of 23 N. Bemiston. A male subject was located and arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Thursday morning, Starbucks employees (7645 Wydown) complained of a subject making lewd statements to them in person and via telephone. The subject is no longer welcome at the business.
At approximately 9:30 Thursday evening, a patron at the Capital Grille over indulged in holiday cheer and caused a disturbance in the restaurant lobby. He returned to the station with officers where he awaited a sober driver.
Friday morning at approximately 8am, a male subject attempted unsuccessfully to enter a vehicle parked on the lot at the Center of Clayton and damaged the vehicle's lock. The subject arrived in a vehicle that had just been stolen from Brentwood's venue.
A St. Louis County Jail inmate was found in possession of possible heroin and/or Fentanyl. They reported providing the same drugs to another inmate who later confirmed the same.
Two residential burglaries were discovered in the 8100 block of Stratford. Time of occurrence is believed to be approximately 7pm. Taken from the homes were several items of jewelry, US currency and coins. University City PD reported similar crimes in their jurisdiction around the same time and area.
Saturday, a resident in the 7500 block of Wellington Way reported 3 packages were removed from their porch between the 18th and 21st of this month. The victim received notification of delivery from FedEx, however the packages were missing by the time she returned home.
Also reported, an unlocked vehicle was rummaged through overnight in the 7400 block of Somerset. Taken from the vehicle were US currency and a medical device.
Lastly, a female subject removed unknown items from CVS without attempting to pay for them. She was positively identified as the owner of the vehicle that was used to make her getaway.
