Clayton Partners with Brentwood for Dog Park
Anderson Park closed this past November for MSD’s Project Clear which leaves Clayton without a dog park until it reopens in two and a half years. To help bridge the gap, Clayton has brokered a unique agreement with the City of Brentwood to help create a dog park in Brentwood’s Norm West Park with equal privileges for Clayton residents. Under this agreement the fencing from Anderson Park will be moved to this new space instead of a landfill, and Clayton will share the cost for construction with assistance by the Clayton Century Foundation. This creative solution saves Clayton’s existing parks from development damage while still ensuring that Clayton’s dog community has a space to thrive. The Norm West Dog Park is expected to open in the spring of 2019.
