Police Weekly Incident Report: February 4 – 10
On Monday, two lost dogs were found and returned home after the owner was identified with the help of our microchip scanner.
On Tuesday at 4:00 pm, a traffic stop at Brentwood and Francis resulted in the driver being issued a summons for possession of marijuana.
On Tuesday at 7:20 pm, officers responded to San Bonita and Concordia Ln for a report of two suspicious males. Upon seeing a police car arrive, both subjects ran off and could not be located. They were possibly picked up by a tan Chevy Tahoe seen in the area. They left behind shoplifted items from Walgreens, which included 24 bottles of body wash, 9 bottles of lotion, and two value packs of condoms. The merchandise was collected and returned to Walgreens.
On Friday at 2:50 pm, a tow truck driver was about to drive away with a repossessed vehicle near Maryland and N. Bemiston when the vehicle’s owner came outside. The owner entered her car while it was on the tow truck’s wheel lift and attempted to drive off, which damaged the truck’s equipment. The owner left the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.
On Friday at 3:00 pm, a male subject was causing a disturbance in the parking lot across the street from the County Jail. He was arrested on felony warrants for domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon. He was also found in possession of marijuana.
During this reporting period, the Clayton PD responded to 394 calls for service, including 20 automobile accidents and 44 calls to assist the Fire Department.
