Police Weekly Incident Report: February 25 - March 3
On Monday afternoon, a report was received of a male subject taking photographs outside of Clayton High School. The subject drove away in his red pickup truck when confronted. Detectives are investigating this incident.
On Wednesday, a report was taken for a laptop computer stolen from an office on the 200 block of S. Bemiston during non-business hours the week before.
On Friday morning, Clayton officers responded to the St. Louis County Jail to investigate the death of an inmate. Clayton detectives are still investigating the matter. There appears to be no signs of foul play.
On Friday at 9:25 pm, a traffic stop at Clayton and Brentwood Blvd. resulted in a DWI arrest. The driver’s blood alcohol level was nearly three times above the legal limit.
On Sunday at 4:40 pm, a minor automobile accident turned into a disturbance call on the exit ramp from southbound I-170 to S. Brentwood. The driver of one vehicle chest bumped the passenger of the other vehicle. The primary aggressor drove away before the police were called. There were no injuries.
During this reporting period, the Clayton PD responded to 429 calls for service, including 17 automobile accidents and 31 calls to assist the Fire Department.
