Police Weekly Incident Report: March 18 - 24

Publish Date:03/26/2019 6:50 PM

You will see in this Weekly Incident Report, we had one theft and one attempted theft from unlocked vehicles last week. As the weather gets warmer, we anticipate these types of incidents will occur more frequently. Last year, 20% of our Part 1 crimes involved thefts from vehicles. By simply removing valuables and locking car doors, we can make a significant impact on Clayton’s crime statistics and the overall safety of our neighborhoods.

On Monday, an unlocked vehicle parked on the 800 block of S. Meramec was reported rummaged through, but nothing was taken. The incident occurred during the overnight hours.

On Monday, a wallet and jacket were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 6400 block of Alamo. The incident occurred during the overnight hours.

On Monday, the gate at the north alley of the E. Brentmoor neighborhood was found damaged by a vehicle that drove through it. The incident occurred over the weekend.

On Saturday at 1:00 pm, a traffic stop at Wydown and Hillvale resulted in the arrest of the driver for driving under the influence of alcohol and prescription medicine. This was at least her 5th DWI arrest; she was booked on a felony charge. Her blood was drawn for analysis. She also had warrants for DWI from another police department in St. Louis County and a police department in Kansas.

On Saturday at 4:05 pm, a female suspect shoplifted merchandise from Straub’s. She fled the scene in her vehicle, eastbound on Forsyth.

On Saturday at 11:55 pm, an officer checked on a suspicious vehicle parked near Wydown and Westwood. This resulted in the arrest of the occupant for possession of methamphetamine, benzodiazepine, and drug paraphernalia.

On Sunday at 2:40 pm, a traffic stop at S. Brentwood and Clayton resulted in the driver and passenger being issued summonses for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Monday at 12:00 am, a traffic stop at S. Brentwood and Orlando resulted in a DWI arrest.
