Police Weekly Incident Report: April 15 – 21
On Tuesday at 12:45 pm, a masked suspect robbed the Commerce Bank at 6383 Clayton Rd. He was armed with a handgun.
On Tuesday at 4:00 pm, witnesses reported a suspect attempting to force entry into the rear of 8211 Clayton Rd, which was formerly The Scholar Shop and is now vacant. The suspect ran from the scene as officers responded. Clayton officers found the suspect and arrested him in the Enterprise headquarters parking garage.
On Tuesday at 5:00 pm, a backpack was stolen on the Fontbonne campus after it was left unattended briefly outside of a bathroom.
On Wednesday at 7:50 pm, an unlocked bicycle was stolen from outside of Walgreens while the owner shopped.
On Thursday at 8:15 pm, a male and female couple stole numerous bottles of cologne from Walgreens.
On Friday at 6:00 pm, three female suspects (17 to 18 years of age) took a cell phone from a female victim’s hands near Langton and Colmar. During the investigation, officers learned that the three female suspects entered CVS prior to the phone theft and consumed food and beverages inside of the store. They left CVS without paying for the items.
On Saturday between 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm, an unattended cell phone was reported stolen from the basketball court at the Center of Clayton.
During this reporting period, the Clayton PD responded to 546 calls for service, including 28 motor vehicle accidents and 39 calls to assist the Fire Department.
