Police Weekly Incident Report: April 22 – 28

On Tuesday at 10:00 am, officers responded to Straub’s for a report of a male suspect who had just stolen beer.  The suspect was located near the store in possession of the stolen 25 oz can of Foster’s beer in his pants.  The suspect was arrested for shoplifting. 

On Wednesday morning, a delayed theft was reported from an unlocked vehicle on the 6300 block of Alamo.  The theft occurred during the overnight hours between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

On Wednesday, a female suspect was arrested for stealing from CVS.

On Thursday, a house was burglarized on Ellenwood between 6:45 pm and 7:45 pm.  A white male subject rang the doorbell at approximately 6:30 pm and asked for a person who didn’t live there.  The subject was described as being in his 20’s, approximately 5’8”, with dark curly hair, and an Eastern European accent.  The residents left home a few minutes after the encounter.  They returned home an hour later to find their home burglarized. 

On Friday at 9:00 pm, a traffic stop a Wydown and DeMun resulted in a DWI arrest.

On Sunday at 1:35 am, a traffic stop at I-170 and the Forest Park Parkway resulted in a DWI arrest.

On Sunday at 2:30 am, a traffic stop on S. Hanley near Davis resulted in a DWI arrest.

On Monday, April 29 at 1:40 am, a resident on the 6300 block of Ellenwood woke up to his dog barking.  He looked outside and saw a male suspect rummaging through his unlocked vehicle parked in the rear driveway.  The suspect ran from the area before the police were called.  Nothing was taken from the vehicle. 

During this reporting period, the Clayton PD responded to 482 calls for service, including 29 traffic accidents and 39 calls to assist the Fire Department.
