Police Weekly Incident Report: May 6 – 12
On Tuesday at 9:35 am, a subject created a disturbance on the 7900 block of Forsyth. He had a warrant for his arrest for burglary. He didn’t comply with officers’ requests to surrender and attempted to run from the scene; however, he was stopped by the officers and safely taken into custody.
On Thursday at 3:50 pm, a male subject tried to drive his vehicle past a construction worker controlling traffic at N. Brentwood and Maryland. The worker was struck by the vehicle. The worker was not hurt. The driver was arrested for assault.
On Saturday at 1:50 am, a vehicle refused to stop for a Brentwood officer and nearly struck another police car in Brentwood. A few minutes later, a Clayton officer observed the vehicle speeding through the Central Business District in Clayton. The officer observed the vehicle enter the parking garage for the Clayton Plaza Hotel. After parking her car, the female driver and her male companion attempted to run into the hotel, away from the officers in the garage. Other officers who entered the hotel from the front ran into the two subjects and arrested them. Brentwood PD responded and took custody of both suspects.
On Saturday at 10:40 pm, a traffic stop near Gay and Maryland resulted in a DWI arrest.
On Sunday, two unlocked vehicles were reported rummaged through on the 6300 block of Alamo. One vehicle was missing change. The incidents occurred during the overnight hours.
During this reporting period, the Clayton PD responded to 489 calls for service, including 21 motor vehicle accidents and 30 calls to assist the Fire Department.
