Police Weekly Incident Report: June 17 - 23, 2019
For the reporting period of Monday, June 17th-Sunday, June 23rd, officers responded to 502 calls for service, including 25 automobile accidents, 32 calls to assist the Fire Department, 3 arrests for DWI and 6 incidents involving unlocked vehicles.Among those calls were the following incidents:
Monday morning, a resident in the 7500 block of York reported a Ford F150 was stolen. It was determined the vehicle was unlocked and a set of keys was left in the console. The vehicle was recovered in Hazelwood on Wednesday.
Monday evening 3 male subjects stole Tide laundry detergent and other items from Walgreens. They were seen leaving the area in a blue GMC truck with a camper shell. Tuesday evening, a resident of Tuscany Park returned from vacation to discover their home was burglarized and jewelry was taken.
Wednesday night, 2 male subjects stole liquor from CVS. They were last seen leaving the area in a silver SUV.
Thursday morning, officers responded to assist Maryland Heights PD after an officer was shot in the line of duty. He is expected to recover from his injuries.
Thursday evening, a resident of the 8000 block of Davis Dr. reported their debit card had been fraudulently used. It was revealed their unlocked vehicle had been rifled through on the 13th or 14th and the card was stolen at that time.
Lastly, Sunday afternoon, Clayton officers responded to assist the North County Police Cooperative following the shooting of an officer in the line of duty. Officers later held vigil at the Medical Examiner’s Office following the death of Officer Michael Langsdorf. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
