As the Center nears its twentieth year of operation, mechanical systems including the aquatic center air quality control unit are in need of replacement. These large systems have reached their life expectancy and replacement will enable the Center to continue to handle its large volume of daily visitors.  The project will also include enhancements of the member experience through improved and expanded amenities as well as energy conservation strategies.

The Competition Pool will open at noon tomorrow, October 2. See the Lap Lane Availability Chart for swim hours. Please note that the CHS swim meet scheduled for tomorrow has been moved which will open the pool to Center swimmers. Shaw Park Aquatic Center will remain open for lap swim through Friday to take advantage of the warm weather. Today and Wednesday outdoor lap swim will be held from 5:15 am - 10:00 pm. On Thursday and Friday, hours will shorten to 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Enjoy your final week outside!

The Leisure Pool will open in about 3 weeks. Tiling is nearly complete, and crews will resurface the pool, slide, and deck in the coming weeks. Water Fitness classes will temporarily move to the Competition Pool during this closure. Group Swim Lessons will be postponed until Leisure Pool opens. Registered participants will be contacted with more details.

Primary locker rooms will open at the end of October. Members and guests may continue to use the Team Locker Rooms at the end of the hall during this closure.

All Courts are now open! Court activities such as Badminton Open Play (Tuesday and Thursday nights) and Adult Pick-Up Basketball have resumed. See the Court Schedule for exact times.

Over the next few months, small closures will happen throughout the building to update fixtures, paint and flooring. Any large changes, like reflooring the track and moving fitness equipment, will take place this winter after the expansion has been completed. Details will continue to be shared when they become available. Additional information is also available on the Center of Clayton Renovation webpage
