The City of Clayton is pleased to announce the hiring of Myron Burr, Jr., as its new Assistant City Manager. In this role, he will supervise the City’s Communications and Municipal Court staff, as well as lead the development and implementation of special projects designed to advance community priorities.
Mr. Burr comes to the City from the Chancellor’s Office at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where he served as Program Manager of Strategic Initiatives. He brings a strong background in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and public service.
He is nearing completion of a Master of Public Policy Administration degree at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. He also holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from DePauw University.
“We are excited to welcome Myron to our leadership team,” said David Gipson, City Manager of Clayton. “His professional experience and academic background will help strengthen our organization and enhance the services we provide to the community.”
Burr will officially begin his duties with the City on September 29, 2025.
