Shaw Park Aquatic Center Shade Feature Project

At this time, the City of Clayton is postponing this Bid Opening indefinitely.  Once we determine our return to work date we will reach out and reschedule the bid opening. 

The City of Clayton is accepting sealed bids for the Shaw Park Aquatic Center Shade Feature Project. Bids will be received by the City of Clayton Director of Parks and Recreation, 50 Gay Avenue, Clayton, MO  63105, until 10:00 A.M. CDT, on Thursday, March 26, 2020. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at The Center of Clayton, Meeting Room C at 10:05 A.M.

The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to refinish existing frames and replace five existing shade fabrics around the Shaw Park Aquatic Center.  In addition, the City would like to install a new frame and shade on the northwest end of the deck. 

The City intends to issue a Notice to Proceed on or before April 10, 2020. 

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM. The meeting will take place at Shaw Park Aquatic Center, 111 Brentwood Boulevard, Clayton, MO 63105.

Questions regarding this project should be directed to the Justin Whipple, Superintendent of Parks, City of Clayton. All questions shall be submitted in writing via email to jwhipple@claytonmo.gov.  No questions will be accepted after 5:00 PM on March 19, 2020 .

Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workmen performing under this contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
