The Clayton Recreation, Sports and Wellness Commission (“CRSWC”) is accepting sealed bids for the Center of Clayton (the “Center of Clayton”) Capital Project. Bids will be received by the City of Clayton’s Director of Parks and Recreation, 50 Gay Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105, until 10:00 A.M. CDT, on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at the Center of Clayton, Meeting Room C at 10:05 A.M.
The Project consists of a 5,678 square foot, two-story addition adjacent to the entrance of the Center of Clayton. The addition will allow for interior renovations. These renovations will include, but not be limited to, the relocation of the existing office space to the first floor of the addition, the former office space will be converted to multi-purpose rooms and the second floor of the addition will be used to expand the Fitness Center. Other renovations include resurfacing of the pool tank and deck, replacement of the gymnasium floor, 12,000 square feet of roof repairs and replacement, as well as locker room and restroom refinishing.
The CRSWC intends to issue a Notice to Proceed on or before May 1, 2019.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 10:00 AM. The meeting will take place at the Center of Clayton Meeting Room A. Attendance is mandatory for all General Contractors wanting to be considered for this project.

Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.
The CRSWC reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and waive any irregularities in the best interest of the CRSWC.
