Making the Past Last
What is CCF-History? We are a historical society representing the city of Clayton. From its founding days in 2008, CCF-History's volunteer committee members have been actively collecting items which relate to living and working in Clayton.
to preserve, protect, and promote Clayton's unique history so that people may appreciate its past, present and future. The Society is committed to identifying and collecting artifacts and documents for display, publishing written and oral accounts, and conducting diverse educational programs for all ages.
Accessible to All
Inherent in CCF-History's mission is our commitment to enhance the understanding of Clayton's past by making it accessible to everyone in the Clayton community, and greater St. Louis area. The Clayton Heritage Center, located in the Center of Clayton, houses our collection. Items may be viewed by appointment with the assistance of our Archivist. The collection is available for research opportunities, or anyone with a passing interest in Clayton's history. To inquire about making an appointment to view an item in the collection, please contact Patty DeForrest at 314-290-8464 or email@example.com
The Clayton Heritage Center is also home to once yearly exhibits, organized and executed by CCF-History committee members. Displayed in the cases outside the Heritage Center, the exhibits focus on a range of topics specific to Clayton and feature items from the collection. Our current exhibit is listed below.
