Welcome to the Clayton Fire Department Community Outreach page. The community outreach team is comprised of members of the fire department who are looking for ways to serve their community. The mission of the Clayton Fire Department Community Outreach is to foster a symbiotic relationship with the community we serve to benefit charities and research groups.
In 2017 our group hosted several charity events to raise money for charity. At Parties in the Park out firefighters were able to raise over $1,600 for MDA, at the Veteran’s BBQ we raised $2,500 for the Gary Sinise Foundation, and at our Breast Cancer Awareness BBQ we raised $4,500 for the Pratt Cancer Center. We look forward to hosting these events again in 2018 and would like you to check back frequently for a list of upcoming events and ways to contribute.
We also participate in various other charitable and outreach events including Camp Rainbow, Toy’s for Tot’s, Fire Department Movie Nights, Dream Factory, and Clayton High School Homecoming Parade. Our participation in these events helps us remain connected to the community and help us to identify other ways that we can serve the community beyond the traditional fire department response and programming.
In the past several years we have also been fortunate enough to team up with the Clayton Police Department to use our good-natured rivalry to help contribute. We have participated in the Police and Fire Volleyball Tournament that they host to raise money for BackStoppers as well as teaming up to promote the City of Clayton’s Battle of the Badges, for which the Clayton Fire Department currently holds the title of “Best Ribs”. We look forward to future partnerships with our fellow first responders to improve our community in the future.
