The City of Clayton currently contracts with Republic Services for residential trash, yard waste and recyclables collection. Please select a link below for the collection schedule or additional information on each category.
If any of these services are missed on your collection day, please use the Report A Problem section of our website or call 636-947-5959 to report the issue directly to Republic Services. This is important information for tracking the performance of the contractors service. Republic Services field personnel will respond as soon as possible to correct the issue or inform you of the reason your waste/recycling was not collected that day.
- Trash, recyclables and yard waste shall be consistently stored in the same location in your side or back yard. Items for trash collection must be easily identifiable as trash.
- All refuse should be ready for pick up by 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection.
- Each resident shall have a once-a-week pick up for each refuse: trash, recyclables and yard waste. Residents may contact Republic Services to arrange to have more than one collection per week (fees apply).
To rent a dumpster or trash containers or call Republic Services at 636-947-5959.
If you have a rodent problem, please call St. Louis County Vector Control at 314-615-8935 or 314-727-3097, as well as the City to describe your problem.
Tires and car batteries cannot be collected as part of Clayton's residential waste collection contract. These items and others can be dropped off at one of the events through St. Louis County Health Department's Hazardous Household Waste Collection Programs.
